A Day of Hope and Education   

Join us for an afternoon of awareness, remembrance, and recovery as our community unites to:  

  • Honor the lives we’ve lost to addiction 
  • Support those on the journey of recovery 
  • Learn how we can all play a role in ending overdose 

Program Highlights:  

 

  • Inspirational Voices: Pastor Thad Decker of Beth Carr Baptist Church on the church’s role in stigma reduction, plus community members sharing stories of resilience, recovery, and remembrance 
  • Law Enforcement Q&A: A parents-only exhibit to help families recognize items of concern at home 
  • Family-Friendly Fun: Bounce houses, face painting, coloring tables 
  • Refreshments available at the Food Lion Table and the Recovering Hands Food Booth  
  • Community Resources: Explore the new Feeding Halifax trailer and the School Board Resource Bus 

Memorial Tribute Space
Speak the names, share memories, and celebrate the lives of loved ones. Bring a poem, story, or song to honor their memory.  

Together with Engaging Halifax and our community partners, let’s rise as a community to stand against addiction, reduce stigma, and celebrate recovery.
